dd+ Freiburg Konviktstraße

Under the name dd+ (the abbreviation stands for “German Designer Plus”), the owner Shengli Becher runs several fashion stores in Freiburg, where she stocks selected collections, mostly from young German designers.

In Konviktstraße there are two narrow shops next to each other.

on the collections specializing in natural materials, LEISE Design has developed an interior design for the stores that underlines the self-image of the fashion on offer. The design is a continuation of the spatial corporate design developed by LEISE Design a few years earlier, which was first implemented for Shengli Becher's store «Stets»:

Constructions made of theatre slats were also designed in the shops in Konviktstraße,

which are used for hanging and lying presentation of goods and as a framework for storage boxes. The materials and surfaces used were put together from six different types of wood and panel materials, in addition to accentuated colored elements. Since there is little storage space available outside the sales rooms, stock items are also located in the closed body elements.

A necessary handling of small room layouts resulted in a style-defining design, which forms a special feature of recognition in the shop landscape in Freiburg and, like the motifs of the
