holiday apartment «Urban Design 1»
Conversion and furnishing of a holiday apartment in Urbanstraße in the Freiburg district of Herdern.
The small-scale spatial structure of a former doctor's office has been transformed into an open-plan apartment that can be rented by families and travel groups of up to six people.
A spacious balcony opens the apartment into the green courtyard of the residential complex. The apartment itself is 58 square meters and, after the complete renovation, is now divided into an open-plan living and dining area, a shower room and a bedroom. In addition to the double bed in the bedroom, two separate sofa beds in the living area offer overnight accommodation for a further four people.
The oak parquet flooring throughout, light wall colours and colourful accents underline the open character of the design concept. The furniture consists of designs by young and well-known designers as well as furnishings specially designed for the project by Leise Design.
The apartment is located on the raised ground floor right next to the second holiday apartment of the same owner, which was completed in 2012. Both apartments can also be rented together.

The kitchen was designed and realized by Leise Design especially for this project.

The core renovation transformed what were originally four small rooms in a doctor's office into a separate bedroom and a spacious living and dining room with two spatially structured retreat areas, both of which are equipped with sofa beds.

The bed and bedside table are by Leise Design, the bedside lamp was designed by Mathias Hahn for the Spanish manufacturer "Marset". The pendant lights above the bed are products of the "Kraud" label by Jennie Peiz and Yvonne Fehling.
The dining table was designed by Gesa Hansen. Various chairs designed by Konstantin Grcic, Stefan Diez and Sebastian Herkner are grouped around it.
